PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Production (2017-present)
Atlanta, GA - New York, NY
I’ve worked as a grip, driver and camera assistant on commercials and so-
cial media content for Discovery’s Group Nine Media (under the Thrillist and NowThis News brands). I have also assisted on the installation and production of Future of StoryTelling’s NYC VR Arcade exhibition, as well as lending assistance to the photographic components of Stein Mart’s 2018 holiday catalog, shot at the Atlanta office of PureRED. Most recently, I co-produced concerts with Jacuzzi Boys and Chris Baio of Vampire Weekend in collaboration with Victory Brands and Brooklyn Brewery.
Photography (2015-present)
Nashville, TN - Atlanta, GA - New York, NY - Traveling
After developing several connections that helped grow my name through refer-rals and word of mouth, I was able to translate the fast paced skills learned in concert photography into the worlds of food and beverage, cultural events, and freelancing for PR companies. I have either independently established or been commissioned by clients including Hasan Minhaj (formerly of The Daily Show), Blue Note Jazz Club, Georgia Organics, Atlanta Beltline, COTE NYC and vari-ous other restaurants. Some of that work can be found here, or published at Bon Appetit, Paste Magazine and Outside Magazine.
Music (2014-present)
Nashville, TN - Atlanta, GA - New York, NY - Traveling and remote
This pursuit began with a writing gig for journalist Marissa Moss (of Rolling Stone) and her publication, Lockeland Springsteen. While in Nashville, I un-earthed a passion for concert photography, building a portfolio that includes hundreds of musicians across cities, venues, and festivals — including Bonnaroo, Shaky Knees, and Afropunk, with plans to photograph Pitchfork this September for New Commute. A sampling of that work can be found here, where you can see photos I’ve taken of David Byrne, Tame Impala, St. Vincent, Post Malone, and Lizzo, among others. My other relevant experiences in the music industry include assisting on a popular YouTube performance series, selling music licenses for BMI and interning for International Songwriting Competition. Prior to the pan-demic, my work in the field had expanded to the promotion and selling of artist merchandise, both on tour and at home venues in Atlanta and New York City. Clients I’ve helped behind the merch table include, but are not limited to: Steely Dan, King Princess, Mitski, Weyes Blood, Manchester Orchestra, and AJR.
Hospitality (2008-present)
Jacksonville, FL - Nashville, TN - Atlanta, GA - Brooklyn, NY
The majority of my work experience lies within a wide range of sales-focused positions in fluid, occasionally chaotic environments with constantly shifting cli-entele. These jobs have taken forms ranging from full-service restaurants (8arm, Poor Hendrix, Sunday in Brooklyn, and many others) to music venues (Brooklyn Academy of Music, Mammal Gallery, City Winery) to traveler’s hostels to or-ganic grocers. Although I intend to direct my work pursuits towards other fields, my experience in hospitality has taught me most of what I know about problem solving, interfacing with customers, and making sales.
